"Both of my children took piano lessons with Allie and their experiences were wonderful! Allie is kind and compassionate as a person which translates directly into her teaching style. She is supportive with challenging pieces and taught them how to chunk the music into more manageable sections before putting them altogether. My children loved that Allie took interest in them as people, not just students. She would ask them about school and activities to get to know them and then use those interests to guide her connections in the lessons. Those relationships enabled Allie to gently push my children during challenging pieces as they trusted and listened to her. Both children looked forward to seeing her each week! Virtual lesson options were great during the pandemic, but we stayed online afterwards because my daughter loved Allie's teaching style. My daughter could practice in a familiar environment on her own equipment which made her feel comfortable. Allie was incredibly patient and supportive. Allie was always encouraging and patient. My kiddo can be a perfectionist, but because Allie took time to build a relationship with her, my daughter felt comfortable and supported. Madeleine went from a brand new music student to being able to play Fur Elise! She's much more confident with trying new things. Madeleine now recognizes and appreciates the skill that goes into playing music and has branched out into other instruments. Allie is a great fine because she is patient and encouraging. Allie is a wonderful teacher and is great with kids.
